Can you believe it’s almost the holiday season again? This year seems to have flown by! You know the feeling: Just when you start scoping out the perfect, robust pumpkin, you blink once and realize that sphere is actually the ball dropping on New Year’s Eve.
This is a busy time of year for us here at Central Florida Health News. We’re coming up on our eighth annual Central Florida Health Expo, the area’s premier event for health-conscious individuals that gives local residents and snowbirds the chance to visit with multiple healthcare companies at the same time, including everything from insurance vendors to local healthcare centers and senior living facilities.
We have an extensive lineup of exhibitors waiting in the wings for the first event of the season on October 13 at International Market World in Auburndale. (Take a peek at expo participants on page 3.) This year’s expo is going to be better than ever because not only is our roster packed, but we have even more surprises in store for entertainment.
The excitement will continue the following months on November 10 and December 15.

The expo is just part of what makes this season so special to us. We’re also starting production of the Central Florida Physicians Directory and Medical Providers Guide. The guide is the region’s most comprehensive referral guide to date, with more than 1,900 physician listings. It’s also the official endorsed directory of the Polk County Medical Association.
Each year, we painstakingly review and confirm each listing to make sure we have the most accurate contact information. The end result is an invaluable, thorough, and easy-to-use resource that you can thumb through or even click through online to find a specialist. Look for the directory inside the December edition of Health News.
