Work has begun on a $1.3 million facelift at Lake Wales Medical Center (LWMC). The project at 410 S. 11th Street, at the corner of State Road 60 and 11th Street, includes repainting, weatherproofing, new landscaping, repaving visitor and parking areas, new lighting in parking areas, and signage.
What’s Happening: Winter Haven Hospital Merger and Other Medical News Winter Haven Hospital officially merged with BayCare Health System on August 30, with Steve Nierman at the helm. Nierman previously served as president of Florida Baptist Hospital in Plant City. Lance Anastasio, Winter Haven Hospital’s immediate past president and chief executive officer, is retiring
