Peak AWC: Your Personal Inspectors

You may have heard of the Annual Wellness Visit and wondered, “Is that something I need, since I already had my yearly physical?” The answer is a definite “Yes!” You see, your body is a temple. It’s your home for your entire life. Just like a traditional house, your body needs some inspecting and maintenance from time to time.
That’s where we come in. When you come to our office for an Annual Wellness Visit, we give you a thorough examination, identifying vulnerabilities that could lead to real problems if not addressed – just like a home inspector. The home inspector crawls through the house with his flashlight, checking out the plumbing, the electrical systems, the roof, the basement, and when he’s completed his assessment he presents a report of his findings.
That’s what we do, too. We check your immunizations, conduct screenings, review the results of your physicals, and more. When we’re done, we give you a 41-point report that pinpoints gaps in care that need to be addressed. This can be taken to your primary care physician to help create wellness strategies. It provides an in-depth look at your current physical state.
You don’t let your home fall into disrepair, why should your body be any less important? Just like your home, your body needs care and attention. An Annual Wellness Visit is a chance to check all those hidden dangers in your body-home and take care of any issues that may arise, with no out of pocket expense for Medicare beneficiaries.
After you have a home inspection done, you use that information to make repairs and upgrades to make sure your house is in tip-top shape and ready to weather any storm. When you receive your report for your Annual Wellness Visit, you can take that information to your primary care physician to make necessary adjustments to your lifestyle, diet, or medications. It gives you a chance to take proper precautions to prepare your body to weather what storms may come.
