The Florida Medical Association’s Annual Meeting will boast a full schedule from July 31 to August 2. Held at the Disney Yacht and Beach Club in Orlando, attendees will be surrounded by the finest amenities that the Walt Disney World Resort has to offer while participating in the FMA’s full-plate agenda.
To kick off some of the recreational festivities, the member welcome reception will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, July 31. On Saturday, August 1, physicians and their families can attend the beach party at 10 a.m. (remember to register for this separately), and later that evening the FMA and FMAA Presidents’ Celebration Black Tie/Formal event will begin at 7:30 p.m. To wrap things up on Sunday, August 2, attendees can choose to wind down with Susan’s Jewelry at 8 a.m.
Not forsaking business, however, the meeting will boast many educational tracks as well as symposiums. The live CMEs being offered during the three-day meeting include state-mandated courses, and credits earned while attending will be reported to the Florida Department of Health’s continuing-education tracking system. In addition, the student and the resident section schedules will be held on Saturday.
Last, but not least, the 5k Renewal Run will be held early Saturday morning. For more details on the schedule and to make last-minute arrangements, go to www.celebratemedicine.com/events/.
