The deadline to register for Polk Senior Games, scheduled for February 28 to March 14, is fast approaching. Deadline for online registration is Friday February 6, 11:59 PM. Paper entries must be received by 4 PM, Friday, February 6, at the Polk Senior Games office at 515 East Boulevard Street in Bartow.
Thirty-eight sports and games are offered for men and women who are 50 and older. Events offered are archery, bag toss, basketball, billiards, bocce, bowling, bridge, chess, cribbage, dancing, darts, euchre, field events, fishing, golf, putt & chip, horseshoes, pepper, pickleball, powerlifting, Punt Pass Kick, 5K road race, scrabble, senior smarts, pistol, rifle, skeet, sporting clays, trap shooting, shuffleboard, softball, Sudoku, swimming, table tennis, tennis and walking.
Events take place throughout Polk County. Entry fee is $13 plus $6 per event. Some events have additional fees. Everyone receives a T-shirt.
