Watson Clinic recognizes one outstanding team member every month as part of their Program for Employee Excellence and Recognition (PEER) award. The PEER Award is given to a team member who best exemplifies the patient-focused customer service standards that Watson Clinic strives to excel at every day. The following team member was recognized for this current month:
Barbara Smith – October
Barbara Smith, a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant and Ophthalmic Surgical Assistant in the office of board-certified Ophthalmology specialist Dr. Richard Harvey at Watson Clinic Main in Lakeland, was recently named the recipient of the PEER award for the month of October. Barbara has been with the Clinic for 7 years, and is considered a role model for her professionalism, knowledge and positivity even in stressful moments. She greets every patient with a smile and compassion.
As PEER Award winner, Barbara received a plaque, dinner at a local restaurant, a reserved parking spot and a gift certificate to the Medical Spa at Watson Clinic.
