Your health for the holidays

This edition of Central Florida Health News provides some insight on the health concerns that (if not treated) can really have a negative affect on the “tidings of comfort and joy” you feel this season. During the “most wonderful time of the year,” sometimes it’s difficult to put on a happy face and be of good cheer, especially when you have severe winter allergies.
If you’re suffering from a chronic health condition, it’s not well advised to delay treatment. During this time of year it is easy to put things off until “after the holidays.” When it comes to your health you must realize that any illness requiring medical care should never be put off.
If the economy or lack of medical insurance is keeping you from seeing a physician, there are options in Polk County to assist you. We Care of Polk County is one organization that helps residents of Polk County access much-needed treatment. Established in 1998 by the Polk County Medical Association, the goal of We Care is to provide medical care for low-income, uninsured residents of Polk County. For more information, you should call We Care at (863) 701-8070.
Don’t let poor health hinder your joy this season. As always, the doctors of the Polk County Medical Association are here to help. We hope you have a Happy Holiday season and a wonderful New Year!
