OCALA, Fla. (Thursday, June 12, 2025) — Hundreds of community members, local leaders, and AdventHealth team members got an exclusive first look at AdventHealth Ocala’s new medical office building, meant to expand the hospital’s network of care, making it easier for our community to access and navigate the healthcare system.
The three-story, 60,000 square foot facility, conveniently located at 1219 South Pine Avenue at the front of the hospital campus, houses several of AdventHealth Ocala’s key service lines, such as Cardiovascular, Neuroscience, Orthopedics and Women’s Health.
“We are thrilled to officially open this incredible new building, which will help our providers reach patients more efficiently and make it easier for our community to navigate the health care system,” said Erika Skula, president and CEO of AdventHealth Ocala. “This facility will ensure our community and visitors have greater access to exceptional, whole-person care and the best possible health outcomes.”
During a ribbon cutting ceremony today, Mayor Ben Marciano of the City of Ocala commended AdventHealth team members for their unwavering dedication and hard work in caring for the community.
“It is truly a pleasure to stand with you today as we celebrate the opening of this new medical office building, another incredible step forward in meeting the needs of our growing community,” Mayor Marciano said. “Access to quality healthcare is one of the most important pillars for a thriving community, so is the importance of creating spaces that not only provide care but elevate it. This facility does just that. It’s a place where innovation meets compassion and where residents will find the support they need to live healthier, fuller lives. I believe not only will lives be saved, but lives will be changed by this facility.”
The first floor of the new building is dedicated to AdventHealth Ocala’s Women’s Institute, featuring OB/GYN and Maternal Fetal Medicine. This dedicated space will allow expectant mothers and gynecology patients to receive their care in one convenient location.
The second floor houses the Cardiovascular Institute, with AdventHealth Ocala’s dedicated heart care team. This includes Pediatric Cardiology, General Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, and Vascular Surgery. Before this facility, cardiovascular specialties were spread across different locations but having them together now will make it easier for both our patients and providers when developing treatment plans.
Finally, the third floor will be home to AdventHealth Ocala’s Neuroscience Institute, housing neurosurgery and interventional neurology, as well as the hospital’s Orthopedic suites.
The construction of the building was undertaken by Brasfield and Gorrie. HuntonBrady, the architects, has played an instrumental role in the planning and design process.
The construction of the new medical office building is all part of AdventHealth Ocala’s commitment to improving the health and well-being of everyone receiving care from their dedicated team.
The first patient appointment for the new facility is scheduled for June 24.
