As a volunteer youth soccer coach for a large local church sports program, Zach was winding down one of the last games of the day when he heard someone from the crowd call out for a doctor. Upon further investigation, he saw someone performing CPR chest compressions on a grandparent of one of his young players. Zach responded quickly to take over the compressions while the other rescuer delivered respiratory support for 3-4 minutes until EMS arrived on the scene. The individual survived and is currently recovering. Congratulations to Watson Clinic medical scribe Zachary Frielich on receiving the Watson Clinic HERO Award! Zach is grateful that the CPR training he received at Watson Clinic helped him make a difference in this person’s life.
